Elementary Elegance and You are Loved
It's been full on again since school started. The weekend just didn't seem to be a weekend. My son had his softball game on Saturday morning, and then we went to the NZ vs Australia Polo game in Kihikihi that afternoon. Sunday was filled with the Weetbix kids try-athalon. So time just seemed to go.
My niece is turning 21 this week, and wanted to use some of the new stamps that are in the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration catalogue.
So I decided on the Elementary Elegance, as the basis of this card. The colours are Conchord Crush, Crumb Cake and Whisper White. The Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder was used as a background on the Crumb Cake. The Victoria Crochet Trim and the clear rhinestone brads are used, along with a trinket crown and rhinestones.
I received the "You are Loved" set in my latest order, and wanted to try it out. I haven't seen too much done with this one yet,so I just went tried things out for myself.
The first one is hand painted on the stamp with the Stampin' Write markers in Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake. Once stamped, I then played around with it till I decided to cut around it. The amour is from Clearly for You. The little butterfly brad is out of the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue. The Wisteria Wonder cardstock is embossed with Perfect Polka Dots and punched with the Scallop Trim Border. Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon and Victoria Crochet Trim are used to embellish as well.
I tried again with it this time using a basic colour scheme of Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler. The cherry Cobbler was embossed with the stripes folder. The Whisper White was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper. Diamantes, and flowers fro the Vintage Vogue set completed the card.
So that's it for now. Hope you have fun with your creating.
Cheers

The end is in sight
Well, the school holidays are nearly over for another summer, and life might hopefully return to normal again. It's been a wonderful 6 weeks of not doing anything constructive. However, it has also meant I haven't done anything that I should. But I now plan to remedy that situation, and I have a couple of little cards to show you that I've made recently.
I had a friend's daughter's 3rd birthday, and with being in holiday mode didn't really have too many creative juices flowing, so I ended up adapting one I had previously made, but with stronger colours. They are Pretty in Pink and Conchord Crush. I love the Big Top set and my youngest thought the dancing bear would be appropriate, so that's what we went with.
The other one I made was a simple wedding card for a friend's wedding.
Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Crumb cake were used with the Elizabeth stamp set. It's simple yet elegant, and the Victoria lace and antique brad work well with the stamp, and the Framed Tulips embossing folder.
So it's short and sweet, but I promise to improve on my posts....
Yours in creating

Playing Around
Hi and sorry it's been so long since I last posted. Not a good start really. It's been one of those weeks, and have spent more time running around like a flea in a fit, than I have sitting down doing this sort of thing.
Anyway, I'm here now and I would like to show you a cute little project I had a chance to make that Juliette Riddell (my upline) showed us. They are quite easy, effective and a great gift.
They are quite cute and are the 19 x 21 cm. Scored from the 1cm in on the 21cm side. Then at 9cm, 10cm and 18 cm. Fold and tape. Decorate as you like. We've used Stitched Stockings. I decided on Pear Pizzazz and Poppy Parade as the colours. I put a brad in the bottom so the pad won't slip through.
I hope you get some inspiration for a easy gift. Have a great day.
