The end is in sight

Well, the school holidays are nearly over for another summer, and life might hopefully return to normal again. It's been a wonderful 6 weeks of not doing anything constructive. However, it has also meant I haven't done anything that I should. But I now plan to remedy that situation, and I have a couple of little cards to show you that I've made recently.
I had a friend's daughter's 3rd birthday, and with being in holiday mode didn't really have too many creative juices flowing, so I ended up adapting one I had previously made, but with stronger colours. They are Pretty in Pink and Conchord Crush. I love the Big Top set and my youngest thought the dancing bear would be appropriate, so that's what we went with. The other one I made was a simple wedding card for a friend's wedding.
Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Crumb cake were used with the Elizabeth stamp set. It's simple yet elegant, and the Victoria lace and antique brad work well with the stamp, and the Framed Tulips embossing folder. So it's short and sweet, but I promise to improve on my posts.... First Edition

Well, I've got through my samples, and found the first ones I'd like to share. I had a friend's son, who had a birthday the other day. It gave me the opportunity to use the "Under the Big Top" set that I had got in the post from Stampin' Up! the week before. I had come across a card by Mary Fish at www.stampinpretty.com, which I really liked. I had a wee play, and put together something I hoped he would like. He was turning 4, and I wanted something fun and bright. It's such a cute wee set, and I felt the elephant would be perfect for this. So Poppy Parade and Marina Mist were the colours I used, along with Whisper White. The background circle punch is off the Perfect Pennants Bigz Dies.

I thought it turned out well. The balls I punched out of the Big Top Birthday Designer Series Paper (DSP).
From there I wanted to do another, and came up with a girl one for another friend's little girl's birthday. For this one I used the bear stamp out of the same set. I used Wisteria Wonder and Pretty in Pink.

After that I continued to play and came up with 2 more out of that set. The seal is the same colours as the bear, and the lion is Daffodil Delight and Elegant Eggplant. They were a lot of fun, and hope you like them.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look. I will endeavour to post some more soon.
